Third-party applications

We have opened the banking interface to third-party developers. As a result, new mobile and web applications can be created to serve our clients even though they are not our own production. These applications will be available for just those clients who are interested in using them.

FAQ

What is a third-party application?

A third party application is an application that provides information about FCM Bank services by another (third-party) developer (outside the FCM Bank). Third-party applications serve as a complement to Internet banking. The design and behaviour of individual third-party applications depend solely on developer´s processing. We just open these gateways to some of our banking data.

Why are you opening a gateway to some bank data?

The new Payment System Act imposes a safe access to bank data. At the same time, we are convinced that many of our clients will welcome it. It gives them the opportunity to choose from more ways to manage their accounts with us. However, it is up to the individual client to choose whether or not to use such applications.

Why do third-party applications come into being and what do I find in them?

First and foremost, you'll find publicly available data in third-party applications. The second type of data you will be able to access through third-party applications is your bank account information, such as your balance and account movements.

You will also be able to place payment orders with third-party applications. However, your consent is always required for the application to link to FCM Bank accounts. No worries - only owner of the account will be able to use the third-party application to access the account, and only if requested by the owner. No one else can get access to the account.

Is it a mobile application or a computer?

There are two types of applications.

One type of app is that you can install on your mobile phone, tablet or smart watch.

The second type is web applications, that is, the ones you use when you are browsing the Internet. You do not need to install these applications, just visit the website.

What advantage will it bring me?

You can choose if you want to use such an application to manage your banking, and if so, which one. Each client may prefer different solution.

A nice example of an app that you might like may be one, that monitors your spending and concurrently advises you were to save. This will give you a clear overview of how much smoking is really going to spend you money. After all, it's not healthy.

Will it be safe?

Yes, otherwise we wouldn't do it. As a bank, we cannot afford to do anything that would pose a risk. Plus, we won't force you to use a third-party application. It is completely up to you, whether to you use a third-party application and allow it to access your accounts. It is only an option for you, not a necessity.

In addition, any developer, who wants to offer an application accessing our client's data, needs the national regulator´s permission. Before we start cooperation with any developer, we will thoroughly examine it.

If you choose to use a third-party application, it's important that the application is from trusted developers downloaded from a trusted source. The responsibility for the consequences of using a third party application will always ultimately depend on who decides to use the app - that is, you. Be careful when choosing a third-party application. For some, the existence of such applications could be a way to try to lure you out of your Internet banking login.

FCM Bank opened the gate to associated developers

We have opened the banking interface to third-party developers. As a result, new mobile and web applications can be created to serve our clients, even though they are not from our own production. These applications will be available for just those clients who are interested in using them. With the API, which is the interface to connect the application to the bank, developers can newly connect their applications with bank data.
